Knowledge/experience: David Jordan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) and also holds other financial-service designations. A member of the Financial Planning Association, David has 31 years of financial services experience, 19 of which is with Jordan Financial Life Planning offering financial planning and investment management based on client fees, rather than commission-sales. David's path through life has taken him from missionary work in Papua New Guinea to helping people in southeastern Wisconsin and throughout the United States map out their financial futures.
Terry Backmann is a Chartered Financial Consultant(tm) and Enrolled Agent who has focused on preparing financial life-plans and filing client income tax returns. Terry is a co-founder of Jordan Financial Life Planning finding her way here through a journalism background and careers in journalism and insurance.
Working arrangements: Clients are welcome to work virtually or in-person with Jordan Financial Life Planning on several different levels: through an investment management fee, based on level of assets being managed; through a financial planning engagement on a one-time or over-time basis; or even through an hourly-fee model based on meeting time or specific research/analysis hours that clients contract with us to provide. We refrain from a transactional, sales approach to delivering financial products because we believe that advice or investment management solutions should be tied to client ongoing needs rather than on differing commission structures afforded by direct sales. We always explain fees upfront so clients can focus on their life issues and investment goals rather than on fears of hidden charges.
